Our History
The MITRPAK product line has deep roots.
The Johnson & Bassett Company (J&B) began operations in 1870 as a manufacturer of machinery and components for the textile industry. Over the years the company took advantage of opportunities to expand its product line and machining services.
In 1970, the Worcester, Massachusetts based company started manufacturing the MITRPAK line of spiral bevel, right-angle gear boxes by introducing the J&B06, J&BR06, J&B10, J&BR10, J&B12, and J&BR12 models. The product line was an instant success due to the company’s emphasis on performance, product quality, pricing, and responsive shipping.
